Kualitas Silase Limbah Sayuran Bersuplementasi Molases dan Limbah Cair Sari Kurma

Limbah sayuran menyumbang 38% dari total limbah makanan di Indonesia. Namun, Limbah sayuran berpotensi sebagai bahan pakan ternak. Pemanfataan limbah sayuran dapat dengan menggunakan teknologi silase. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kualitas silase limbah sayuran yang disuplementasi molases dan limbah cair sari kurma. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Bogor, pada bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2022. Penelitian ini dibagi ke tiga perlakuan yakni, P0 = kontrol, P1 = 10% limbah cair sari kurma, P2 = 10% molases. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA pada software SPSS. Peubah yang diamati meliputi kualitas nutrisi (analisa proksimat), pH, organoleptik, konsentrasi amonia dan asam lemak terbang juga kecernaan bahan kering dan organik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa dengan suplementasi molases dan limbah cair sari kurma secara nyata meningkatkan kualitas nutrisi, kualitas fermentatif, kadar pH dan organoleptik dari silase limbah sayuran. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, silase limbah sayuran yang disuplementasi molases dan limbah cair sari kurma secara nyata menurunkan kandungan serat kasar silase, dengan suplementasi molases 10% sebagai perlakuan paling baik dalam meningkatkan kualitas silase. Vegetable waste contributes 38% of total food waste. But, vegetable waste has the potential as a feedstuff. Silage could be used as a technology for vegetable waste utilization. The objective of this study was to observe the quality of vegetable waste silage supplemented with molasses and extract palm date by-products. The research was conducted in Bogor from July until August 2022. Treatments that were used in this research are P0 = control, P1 = 10% extract palm date by-product, and P1 = 10% molasses. Data were analyzed with an ANOVA test by using SPSS software. The parameter observed were nutrition quality (proximate analysis), pH, organoleptic, ammonia, volatile fatty acid, dry matter and organic matter digestibility. The result showed that supplementation of molasses and extract palm date by-product had a different effect on the nutrition quality, as well as organoleptic quality, pH level, and fermentative quality. In conclusion, supplementation of molasses and extract palm date by-product, shows a not different effect on the crude fiber content. Supplementation molasses of 10% is the best treatment for improving silage quality.
