Pengaruh Limbah Media Produksi Jamur Pelapuk Kayu Isolat HS Terhadap Konsumsi, Produksi dan Efisiensi Pakan pada Ternak Domba

Abstract

The production medium waste of wood rot fungi HS isolate has a potency to be used as ruminants feed, because the fungi have high ligninolytic activity. The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the utilization of fungi production medium waste as napier grass substitution on feed consumption, daily gain, feed efficiency and income over feed cost of Priangan lambs. The experiment used fifteen lambs with average body weight of ± 12kg. A randomized block design was used with three treatments and five replications. Treatments consisted of : R1 = 50% concentrate + 50% napier grass: R2 = 50% concentrate + 25% napier grass + 25% fungi production medium waste; R3 = 50% concentrate + 25% napier grass + 25% fungi production medium. The results of the experiment showed that lambs given R2 ration had significantly (P<0.05) higher consumption, lower feed efficiency and income over feed cost, but did not significantly affect body weight gain compared to R1 and R3 rations. Therefore it can be concluded that utilization of 25% the production medium waste of wood rot fungi HS isolate in lambs ration to subtitute napier grass decreased body wight, feed efficiency an income over feed cost.
