      Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of giving a feed additive with the creep feed method containing meal and maggot oil (Black Soldier Fly) on the performance in weaned lambs. This research used 10 post-weaning lambs aged ± 2-3 months, with body weight of 7,54 ± 0,78 kg and placed in individual cages. The lambs were divided into 2 treatments consisted of P1 = Commercial concentrate + forage, P2 = Black Soldier Fly concentrate with the addition of meal and Black Soldier Fly oil + forage. The parameters measured in this study were nutrient consumption (dry matter intake, crude protein intake, crude fat intake, crude fiber intake, nitrogen free extract and total digestible nutrient consumption), daily weight gain, and feed efficiency. The data were analyzed using T-Test (independent sample T-Test). The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0,05) on consumptions of dry matter, crude protein, and total digestible nitrogen. There were not effect (P>0,05) of crude fat, crude fiber, N-free extract intake, daily weight gain, and feed efficiency.
