      Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the feed additive containing BSF meal and BSF oil on blood profile in weaned lambs. This research used 10 post-weaning lambs. The lambs were divided into 2 treatments consisted of P1 = commercial ration + forage, P2 = feed additive containing BSF meal and BSF oil + forage. Parameters tested were the appearance of hemoglobin, hematocrite, red blood cells, white blood cells, leukocyte differentiation (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils), glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, and blood urea nitrogen. The data were analyzed using T-Test (independent sample T-Test). The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on leukocyte differentiation (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils), glucose, triglycerides, and cholesterol. The treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on hemoglobin, hematocrite, red blood cells, white blood cells, and blood urea nitrogen. FBSF meal and BSF oil which is given by creep fedding and does not interfere with blood profile or health status of livestock.
