Vaname shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei is the main commodity in Indonesian fishery exports. The latest technology in culture of vaname shrimp, namely Millennial Shrimp Farming (MSF) is adequate, but has not been supported by stocking density. The imbalance between the stocking density and the aquatic environment is often a problem. The accuracy of stocking density and suitability of water quality need to be known so that the culture takes optimally and the shrimp is as desired. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of water quality and production performance of vaname shrimp at different stocking densities with MSF technology. A total of two treatments were stocking density of 300 fry m-2 (BL) and 400 fry m-2 (BP) and each treatment was repeated five times. The results showed that the water quality and production performance of vaname shrimp with MSF technology were not significantly different (ρ> 0,05). The water quality of the two treatments was not much different including pH 7,08-7,78, DO 3.17-7.31 ppm, temperature 24,18-29,84oC, salinity 3,60-28,20 ppt, ammonia <0,01 ppm, ammonium and TAN <4 ppm, nitrite <8,70 ppm, nitrate <43,32 ppm, TOM <68,55 ppm and alkalinity 108,20-149,80 ppm and the abundance of plankton was dominated by green algae and diatoms. Production performance at a stocking density of 400 fry m-2 (BP) was more optimal with MBW 20,75 g head-1, ADG 0,23 g head-1 day-1, FCR 1,47; SR 92% and PE 68%. Udang vaname Litopenaeus vannamei menjadi komoditas utama dalam ekspor perikanan Indonesia. Teknologi terbaru dalam budidaya udang vaname yaitu Millenial Shrimp Farming (MSF) sudah memadai, namun belum didukung oleh penebaran. Ketidakseimbangan padat tebar benur dengan lingkungan perairan kerap menjadi permasalahan. Ketepatan padat tebar dan kesesuaian kualitas air perlu diketahui agar budidaya berlangsung optimal dan udang sesuai dengan yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dinamika kualitas perairan dan kinerja produksi udang vaname pada padat tebar yang berbeda dengan teknologi MSF. Sebanyak dua perlakuan yaitu padat tebar 300 benur m-2 (BL) dan 400 benur m-2 (BP) serta setiap perlakuan dilakukan lima kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas air dan kinerja produksi udang vaname dengan teknologi MSF tidak berbeda nyata (ρ>0,05). Kualitas air kedua perlakuan tidak jauh berbeda di antaranya pH 7,08-7,78, DO 3,17-7,31 mg L-1, suhu 24,18-29,84 oC, salinitas 3,60-28,20 g L-1, amonia <0,01 mg L-1, amonium dan TAN <4 mg L-1, nitrit <8,70 mg L-1, nitrat <43,32 mg L-1, TOM <68,55 mg L-1 dan alkalinitas 108,20-149,80 mg L-1 serta kelimpahan plankton didominasi green algae dan diatom. Kinerja produksi pada padat tebar 400 benur m-2 (BP) lebih optimal dengan MBW 20,75 g ekor-1, ADG 0,23 g ekor-1 hari-1, FCR 1,47; SR 92% dan EP 68%.
