      Abstract
      Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas yang dibuat dengan cara perlakuan vakum dan waktu simpan berbeda. Sebanyak 27 karung dengan isi silase yang terbuat dari campuran hijauan sorgum dan Indigofera seberat 25 kg dievaluasi kualitasnya. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu perbedaan kekuatan vakum yaitu vakum masing-masing dengan daya hisap 720 cm3s-1 (V1) dan 230 cm3s-1 (V2) yang dikombinasikan dengan waktu fermentasi yaitu;7 hari, 14 hari, 21 hari dan 28 hari. Setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulangi 3 kali. Uji kualitas terdiri dari analisis Proksimat dan analisis Van soest. Data organoleptik dianalisis secara deskriptif sedangkan data nutrien dianalisis menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial 2x4, dengan ANOVA (analysis of variance) dan dilanjutkan uji lanjut Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perbedaan penggunaan kekuatan vakum dengan lama fermentasi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap hasil nutrien yang dikandung pada silase.
       
      This study aims to determine the quality made by vacuum treatment and different storage times. A total of 27 sacks filled with silage made from a mixture of forage sorghum and Indigofera weighing 25 kg were evaluated for quality. The treatment given was the difference in vacuum strength, namely a vacuum with a suction power of 720 cm3s-1 (V1) and 230 cm3s-1 (V2) combined with fermentation time, namely; 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days. Each treatment combination was repeated 3 times. The quality test consists of Proximate analysis and Van Soest analysis. Organoleptic data were analyzed descriptively while nutrient data were analyzed using a 2x4 factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with ANOVA (analysis of variance) and continued Duncan's test. The results showed that the difference between the use of vacuum power and the length of fermentation had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the yield of nutrients contained in silage.
