The Influence of Student's Perception on UI GreenMetric and Sustainable Development Goals Implementation in IPB University and Universiti Putra Malaysia

Abstract

Universitas telah menerapkan keberlanjutan karena dipandang sebagai tempat yang dapat mempromosikannya. Banyak universitas yang mencoba menerapkan keberlanjutan menggunakan UI GreenMetric dan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mahasiswa adalah pemangku kepentingan internal, sehingga persepsi mereka sangat penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh persepsi mahasiswa terhadap implementasi UI GreenMetric (UIGM) dan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) yang diterapkan di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan studi banding antara IPB University dengan Universiti Putra Malaysia karena kedua universitas tersebut telah menerapkan UIGM dan SDGs. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Metode penarikan sampel menggunakan sampel purposif. Metode kuantitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa berpengaruh signifikan terhadap implementasi UIGM dan SDGs. Pendekatan top- down dan bottom-up akan diberikan sebagai implikasi manajerial untuk implementasi keberlanjutan yang lebih baik.

Universities have implemented sustainability because they are seen as places that can promote it. Many universities are trying to implement sustainability using UI GreenMetric and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students are internal stakeholders, so their perception is crucial. This research aimed to analyze the influence of students' perception on UI GreenMetric (UIGM) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are implemented in universities. This research is a comparative study between IPB University and Universiti Putra Malaysia because these universities have been implementing UIGM and SDGs. The data collected through a questionnaire. The sampling method use purposive sampling. The quantitative method used in this study is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling analysis. The result showed that students' perceptions significantly influence UIGM and SDGs implementation. Top-down and bottom-up approaches will be provided as managerial implications for better sustainability implementation.
