      Abstract
      Perikanan merupakan sumber daya penting bagi ketahanan pangan global. Indonesia memainkan peranan penting dalam sektor perikanan global sebagai negara penghasil ikan terbesar ke dua di dunia setelah Cina. Produksi perikanan Indonesia utamanya ditopang oleh sektor perikanan budi daya, seperti budi daya tambak, kolam, karamba, jaring apung, jaring tancap dan mina padi. Namun, tingkat kesejahteraan pembudi daya ikan masih rendah. Kondisi ini mendorong peneliti untuk mengkaji efisiensi perikanan budi daya di Indonesia. Berbagai metode telah dikembangkan untuk mengukur efisiensi. Metodemetode tersebut dapat diklasifikasikan ke dalam dua pendekatan utama: pendekatan parametrik dan nonparametrik. Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) adalah metode parametrik yang populer digunakan. SFA mengasumsikan bahwa antar unit produksi bersifat saling bebas. Namun, asumsi tersebut terkadang tidak realistis karena aktivitas produksi pada kenyataannya saling bergantung antar wilayah melalui berbagai macam eksternalitas dan jaringan rantai suplai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sifat penduga parameter model SFA dengan dependensi spasial berdasarkan data simulasi dan menerapkannya pada pengukuran efisiensi teknis perikanan budi daya di Indonesia.       The fisheries sector has significant contribution for global food security. Indonesia plays a prominent role as it is the second largest fish producer in the world after China. Indonesia’s fish production is mainly contributed by aquaculture sector, such as brackish water pond culture, fresh water culture, cage culture, floating net culture, pen culture and rice fish culture. However, the prosperity of aquaculture producer is still low. This condition motivates the authors to analyze the efficiency of aquaculture in Indonesia. Various methods have been proposed to measure efficiency. The methods can be classified into two main approaches: parametric and nonparametric approaches. Stochastic frontier analysis (SFA) is the popular parametric method for measuring efficiency. SFA assumes that producer units are independent. However, this assumption is often not realistic since production units may be interdependent through many kinds of externalities and supply-chain networks. This study aims to examine the properties of SFA estimator by considering spatial dependency and to apply the method for measuring technical efficiency of Indonesia’s aquaculture.
