Abstract: Field trial effectivity of SOLUT-ION as trigger in glyphosate herbicide application aims to determine the effect of SOLUT-ION on the effectiveness of glyphosate herbicide formulation in field condition. The experiment was conducted in palm oil plantation (immature plants), IPS Cikabayan Field Experiment, Darmaga, Sogor, West Java in May 2014 until September 2014. The experiment was conducted using random design block with four replications. The treatment test are : Control without sprayed (G 1 ), Glyphosate 3 1/ha (G2), Glyphosate 3 1/ha + SOLUT-ION 1 1/ha (G3), Glyphosate 2 1/ha (G4), Glyphosate 2 1/ha + SOLUT-ION 1 1/ha (G5), Glyphosate 1 1/ha (G6), Glyphosate 1 1/ha + SOLUT-ION 1 1/ha (G7), Glyphosate 1 1/ha + SOLUT-ION 2 1/ha (G8). The unit experiment are weeds under three disc plant immature palm oil. The experiment results show that glyphosate herbicide + SOLUT-ION can control common weeds at the experiment. Dominant weeds that can be controlled by glyphosate herbicide + SOLUT-ION are Ottoch/oa nodosa, Paspalum conjugatum, dan Axon opus compressus. Glyphosate herbicide + SOLUT-ION spraying on the experiment doses causing no phytotoxicity symptom in immature palm oil. The addition of SOLUT-ION can reduce glyphosate application doses. Glyphosate herbicide 1 1/ha + SOLUT-ION 1 1/ha application is effective to control common weeds at the experiment sites.
