The objective ofthis n:scard1 was to li1d out the jackfruit cultivar that may be able to grow with ground water lower of lower than the field capacity. The experiment was designed with a factorial randamized block design with two factors.. The first factor was the jackfruit Cultivar. LB-I (KI), TL-5 (K2). BK-3 (K3). BR-I K4), SV-2 (K5)and PD-5 (K6). The second factor was the ground water contents: % field capacity (AU). 65° of field capacity (A I) and 30%, of field capacity (A2), Cultivars used were obtained from 10 different villages in Palu City and DonggaIa. Paremeters observed were percentage of plant vigor, totaI dry content relative water conotent of leaves, area of stamina triangle, proIin contents and drought index. Results showed that the TL-2 and BK-3 cultivars were shown to be superior than others and they are recommended to be used as scorces of lower stem in vegetative multiplication of jackfruit plant.id
