Abstract: Extraction of piper bittle leaves did not produced an inhibition zone at concentration of 50%, 25%, 12,5% and 6,25% against three bacteria gram positive (Staphyloococcus aurus, Staphyloococcus epidrmidis and Staphyloococcus agalactiae) isolated from subclinical mastitis in milk. Ethanol extraction at concentration 50, 25, 12, 5 and 6,25% can inhibit Staphyloococcus aurus and Staphyloococcus epidermidis but only inhibit Staphyloococcus agalactiae at concentration 0f 12.5, 50%. Fifty percent of ethanol extraction and essential oil of piper bittle leaves gave the biggest inhibition zone against Staphyloococcus aurus, Staphyloococcus epidermidis and Staphyloococcus agalactiae isolated from subclinical mastitis. Reaction of antimicroba against tetracycline is bigger than 50% ethanol extraction of essential oil of piper bittle leaves
Air perasan daun sirih tidak memberikan zona hambat pada konsentrasi 50%, 25%, 12,5% dan 6,25% terhadap ketiga bakteri gram positif (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Streptococcus agalactiae) hasil isolasi dari susu sapi yang terkena mastitis subklinis. Ekstrak etanol daun sirih pada konsentrasi 50%, 25%, 12,5% dan 6,25% dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Staphylococcus epidermidis, tetapi hanya menghambat bakteri Streptococcus agalactiae pada konsentrasi 12,5 – 50%. Minyak atsiri daun sirih pada konsentrasi 50%, 25%, 12,5% dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Streptococcus agalactiae, tetapi hanya dapat menghambat bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada konsentrasi 25% dan 50%. Konsentrasi 50% ekstrak etanol dan minyak atsiri daun sirih memberikan zona hambat paling besar terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis dan Streptococcus agalactiae hasil isolasi dari susu mastitis subklinis. Daya antibakteri antibiotika tetrasiklin lebih besar dibandingkan konsentrasi 50% ekstrak etanol dan minyak atsiri daun sirih, terbukti dengan membarikan zona hambat yang lebih besar, karena tetrasiklin memiliki sifat sensitif terhadap bakteri uji.
