Abstract: Dryland optimization is a strategy to increase national rice production through the development of upland rice. The upland rice production contributed for 5.28% of the national rice production. The objectives of this research was to obtain high yielding upland rice lines obtained from anther culture. The research was arranged in completely randomized block design (RCBD) with nineteen doubled haploid lines and three check varieties namely Inpago 10, Limboto, and Situ Bagendit with three replications. The results showed that the highest productivity was achieved by HR-5-7-1-1 (4.2 tonnes ha-1) and higher than Limboto (2.84 tonnes ha-1) and Situ Bagendit (2.95 tonnes ha-1). HR-5-9-1-1 (4.0 tonnes ha-1) showed higher productivity than Limboto (2.84 tonnes ha-1) and Situ Bagendit (2.95 tonnes ha-1). There were 10 lines selected to have similar productivity to Inpago 10, Limboto, and Situ Bagendit: HR-1-12-1-1 HR, HR-1-32-1-1, HR-2-22-2-1, HR-2- 27-2-7, HR-2-34-1-3 HR-3-6-2-1, HR-5-11-1-1, HR-5-13-2-2, HR-5- 9-4-1, and HR-7-15-2-1.
