Land suitability for settlement was classified as highly suitable (SI) covering 19,520.1 ha (60.1%); moderately suitable (S2) covering 2,745.7 ha (8.4%); marginally suitable (S3) covering 362.9 ha (1.1%); not suitable (N) covering 9,871.3 ha (30.4%). Based on social-economic analysis, resident's growth rate in Karang Mumus river basin was 4.9ro/year. Prediction of the population in the year of 2012 was 276,756 persons, geographical density was 879 persons/lml, and agrarian density was reached 9 personslha.
