Abstract: Organic farming needs high amount of organic fertilizer because of its low nutrient contents. Combination with biological fertilizer may be able to reduce the needs of organic fertilizer. The experiment was conducted at the experimental field of IPB in Cikarawang, Bogor, October 2011-March 2012 (since fertilizer application until harvest). The experiment used completely randomized block design with 2 factors and 4 replications. The first factor was rates of fertilizer (6.25 ton chicken manure/ha added with 6.25 ton Tithonia diversifolia/ha; and 12.5 ton chicken manure/ha added with 6.25 ton Tithonia diversifolia/ha). The second factor was rates of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) (0, 2.5, and 5 g/planting hole). The results showed that higher rate of fertilizer increased number of trifoliate leaves, but decreased content of N and P in soybean seeds. The rate of AMF only affected content of P in seed, i.e. 0.56%. This highest level of P obtained with the addition of 5 g AMF/planting hole. The interaction of AMF and organic fertilizer affected plant height, dry weight of roots, and empty soybean pods. The average yield of soybean seeds could be achieved from this experiments was 2.30 ton/ha.
