Abstract: The objective of this research is to find out the best proportion of organic and inorganic fertilizer application for Arabica seedling, to find out a dose of organic fetilizer that can reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers all least 50%, and to find out the best kind of organic fertilizer for growing Arabica coffee seedlings. The research was conducted in Bogor Agricultural University Experimental Station, Cikabayan, Darmaga-Bogor, from May 2013 to February 2014. The experiment was arranged in a split plot design with three replications. The main plots were four shading levels, i.e. 25%, 50%, 75% and 95%, while subplots were five combinations of inorganic-organic fertilizers. It consist of 5levels of fertilizers ratio sub-plot; 100% inorganic fertilizer (P1), 50% inorganic fertilizer + 50% coffee pulp compost (P2), 25% inorganic fertilizer + 75% coffee pulp compost (P3), 50% inorganic fertilizer + 50% cow manure (P4), and 25% inorganic fertilizer + 75% cow manure (P5). There were 20 treatment combinations andeach combination consisted of 3 replicates. Therefore, there were 60 units of trial. Each units of trial consisted of 11 seedlings of coffee. They were arranged 30cm x 30cm away among the polybags. Three seedlings out of eleven were set as samplings. The best application of inorganicorganic fertilizer is 25 % inorganic fertilizer + 75 % organic manure. Application of inorganic-organic (P2, P3, P4, P5 vs P1) than inorganic fertilizers significantly increased plant height, leaf number, steam diameter (3-7 MAT), wet weight and dry roots (4 and 7 MAT), wet weight and dry canopy, root length, root volume, leaf area, the content of P , K and nutrient uptake N, P K. The best organic fertilizers on the growth of Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica L.) seedlings is organic manure.Organic manure application reduces inorganic fertilizer up to 75%.
