dc.description.abstractPolyploidy induction is an alternative method to increase plant size and quality of ornamental plants. The research was carried out to induce polyploidy on plantlets Phalaenopsis amabilis using colchicine. Plantlets were immersed in 25 mg L-1colchicines for 0, 5, 10, and 15 days then transferred to 1/2MS medium. The result showed that plantlets growth were not affected by colchicines application. Tetraploid plantlet was found on plantlet with 10 days of colchicine treatment.id
