T Productivity of UP3-Jonggol and Garut Balibu Sheep By Improvement Feeding Strategy Based on Indigofera Sp. and Tauge Waste. The aimed of this research was to evaluate performance production of UP3-Jonggol and Garut growing sheep through improvement of the ration. Thirty two of local sheep consisted of sixteen UP3-Jonggol growing sheep (weaning or Balibu and adult) and sixteen garut growing sheep (balibu and adult), were used in this experiment during three months. The rations were pellet concentrate containing 30% of Indigofera sp (R1) and 30% of tauge waste (R2). The animal were reared in the individual cages and gave water and feed ad libitum. The experimental design was Completely Randomized Design with factorial 2x2x2. First factor was breed (UP3-Jonggol and garut), second factor was ration (R1 and R2) and third factor was physiological state (weaning and adult). The parameter observed were ADG, feed efficiency, nutrient intake, digestibility of nutrient, rumen fermentation, blood metabolites, body composition, carcass and meat quality. Result showed that there were not interaction between all treatments and the ADG was around 129-134 g/d with feed conversion 4.74. Sheep consumed 3%-4% of DM/kg BW, where ration of 30% tauge waste had higher nutrient intakes compared to Indigofera ration. The nutrients digestibility were same in all treatments, except for fiber was higher in tauge waste ration. Methane production of garut sheep was higher than UP3-Jonggol sheep while the tauge waste ration was lower than Indigofera sp. Body composition using Urea Space technique showed that the body water, protein and fat were 70%, 18% and 4,5%, respectively. Percentage of Up3-Jonggol weaning carcass was around 47,27%, while for the adult carcass was 48,56%. Meat quality showed that they have red bright color, normal pH, soft, juiciness and low Aw. The fatty acid and cholesterol meat in all treatments were same, with concentration of cholesterol meat was 55-71 mg/100 g. Keywords: Balibu, feeding strategy, tauge waste, juiciness, meat qualityid
