The cooling effect of small green areas with trees sites of various geometric configurations is the object of this study. It was studied experimentally at 3 different sites in Bogor Agricultural University during the period March-June 2013. An empirical model is developed in this study for predicting the cooling effect inside the sites. The model is based on statistical analysis carried out on 658 experimental observation gathered every 6 am and 2 pm from the 3 sites on calm days. Two factors that explain inside the sites are the partial shades area under the tree canopy and site specific effect. The cooling effect of green space areas on their immediate surrounding at noon was also analyzed. The cooling effect estimated in this study is perceivable up to about 50 m in the streets branching out from the site. The findings show the differences of every site, Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW) site that has most traffic outside the site shows biggest difference between site borders and the point measure in 50 m about -2.60 C.id
