dc.description.abstractTraffic activity can cause some noise, which at certain levels can interfere with human health. One attempt to reduce noise by building green belt road. in urban areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of the roadside vegetation in reducing noise. This observation was carried out around the roadside vegetation on Jl. Padjadjaran, Jl. A. Yani, Jl. Juanda and the Bogor Botanical Garden, conducted July 2014 until August 2014. The data which been collected was the noise level around the green belt road, the composition and structure of vegetation and leaf area index. Roadside vegetation in Jl. A. Yani with 2.9788 leaf area index of 2.9788 has a high reduce noise that is equal to 7.31 dB, while the lowest reduction occurred ability on the roadside vegetation Jl. Padjadjaran (Telkom) with leaf area index of 1.322 that is equal to 3.03 dB.id
