Abstract: Fishing vessels must have a good stability and maneuverability. The hull with round bottom shape have a relatively poor rolling duration than the other forms. Damping rolling duration that will improve the quality of stability on the ship can be done by the installation of the bilge keel. The objectives of this research are: (1) Compare each parameter value of rolling ship model that uses bilge keel; (2) Determine the ratio of the minimum length of bilge keel to the length of waterline ship models to have a better ability in reducing rolling ship. Experimental method was applied in this research by giving a treatment on the model of fishing vessel and observe the movement of rolling with some different length of bilge keel. Based on the result, it can be concluded that installation of bilge keel with some length ratio of the length of waterline have a different result signifikan, and bilge keel with the length ratio to the length of waterline at 0,2, still has a better ability in reducing rolling motion ship models.
