Point intercept transect method (PIT) is used to measure coral cover and benthic substrates quickly and efficiently. This study aimed to evaluate the establishment of an observation point at the interval point intercept transects method (PIT). Method of processing data in the form of calculation accuracy of data and one-way analysis of variance accuracy of PIT data contained test to see real differences in the methods compared. Highest in 0.1 meter interval point. This is caused by the density of data collection points closer to taking continuous data on methods LIT Interval point 0.9 meter and 1 meter showed the lowest accuracy since vacancy data width on the transect line. The whole value of each condition, components and lifeform on LIT methods and methods PIT point interval of 0.1 m to 1 meter does not have any real difference.id
