The development of smartphone with digital image acquisition capacity may improve the function of microscope. The purpose of this study is to make a useful tool to support diseases diagnosis in remote areas and to assist for the image processing using the software MacBiophotonics ImageJ. For testing tools, the size and circularity value of 500 erythrocytes for 3 female broiler chickens and 3 female ducks were quantified. The obtained results were compared with that of Microscope Nikon YS 100 equipped with Dino-eye camera. Data were analyzed using T test and the results showed a significant differences between measurement using microscope and smartphone devices (P<0.05) with percentage 13.82 % (size) dan 19.59 % (circularity value) for all the animals used for experimentation. This study demonstrates that modified microscope combine with smartphone has an ability to measure the size and the erythrocyte circularity value for duck and broiler. It can be used as diagnostic tools for testing blood review, but these tools have shortcomings including poor lighting system which is not equipped with condenser and diaphragm.id
