Abstract: The objective of this research was to determine the responses of several tomato varieties of pinto peanut (Arachis pintoi) planting in minimum tillage system. This research was conducted in Cikarawang Experiment Station, IPB Darmaga, Bogor, from Desember 2014 to April 2015. The experimental design that used in this experiment was split plot-randomized complete block design with two factors (biomulch planting and varieties of tomato) and three replications. The main plot is two different mulch and tillage treatment (Pinto peanut planting as biomulch with minimum tillage for tomato (M1) and no mulch used with conventional tillage for tomato (M0)) and six levels of variety such as Permata F1, Marglobe, Roma, Yasmin F1, Tomat rampai (Tora), and Sukon. The result of this research indicates that pinto peanut planting with minimum tillage system not significantly effected growth (plant height and number of leaves), production of tomato (weight per plant and weight per tile), and fruit quality (fruit hardness, total acid titrated, and fruit sweetness). Pinto peanut (A. pintoi) as biomulch is suitable to apply in tomato cultivation with minimum tillage system.
