Abstract: Hairy cockle (Anadara antiquata) is one of marine mollusc which unutilized optimally. Th e purpose of this research was to determine the amino acid and fatty acid composition in marine hairy cockle. Chemical compositions of hairycockle were determined by proximate analysis. Th e composition of amino acid was measured by High Performanced Liquid Chromatografy (HPLC) and composition of fatty acid was measured by Gas Chromatography (GC). Chemical composition of hairy cockle meat consisted of 79.69% water, 1.57% ash, 2.29% fat, 12.89% protein, and 3.56% carbohydrate. Chemical composition of cockle innards consisted of 81.50% water, 1.99% ash, 4.60% fat, 10.13% protein, and 1.74% carbohydrate. Th e highest amino acid found in hairy cockle meat and innards was glutamic acid with 1.74% and 1.22%. Th e lowest amino acid found in hairy cockle meat and innards was histidine with 0.15%. Th e highest saturated fatty acid that found in whole meat and without innards of hairy cockles was palmitic acid with a value of 5.82% and 5.67% respectively. Palmitoleic acid was the highest monounsaturated fatty acid with the value of 2.42% and 2.36%. Th e highest polyunsaturated fatty acid of Anadara antiquata was EPA with the value of 5.25% and 4.06%.
