Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the most effective time to administer Enrofloxacin to broiler infected with Escherichia coli (colibacillosis) and Mycoplasma gallinarum (mycoplasmosis), in terms of body weight, morbidity, and mortality. This research was held from August 2nd until 24th 2012 in Laboratory Animal Management Unit’s (UPHL) Henhouse, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University. The broilers were divided into 2 major groups, the first was infected with Escherichia coli and the second was infected with Mycoplasma gallinarum. Each group were divided into 5 small groups, namely group A (Treatment 6 hours post-infection), Group B (Treatment 3 days post-infection), Group C (Treatment 7 days post-infection), Group positive control (untreated), and Group negative control (not infected, untreated). The treatment is a dose of Enrofloxacin as much as 1 gram in 6 litre of broiler’s drinking water. The parameters observed are bodyweight, morbidity, and mortality. The bodyweight were calculated with Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method. The results obtained showed that Enrofloxacin is effective if given 3 days post-infection and not effective against colibacillosis.
