Title: Kajian Mengenai Berbagai Metode Penilaian Keragaman Konsumsi Pangan Rumah Tangga

Abstract: Household dietary diversity can be measured using Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP), Household Dietary Diversity Score (HDDS), and modified HDDS. The general objective of this research is to compare several methods for assessing household dietary diversity. The specific objectives of this research were to identify characteristics of households, household food expenditure, and household dietary diversity; analyze correlation between household food expenditure and characteristics of households; and analyze correlation between household food expenditure and household dietary diversity based on DDP, HDDS, and modified HDDS. This research was cross-sectional study and used 118 households in Citayam and Babakan Village. This research was a part of research project “Validation of Modified HDDS (Household Dietary Diversity Score) for Recipient Household of Food Diversification Program in Bogor District” that was leaded by Dr Ir Yayuk Farida Baliwati, MS. Almost households in Citayam and Babakan Village was categorized as small household (59.32%). Fathers and mothers had low education level (36.44%, 44.92%). Fathers and mothers were categorized as middle adult (58.48%, 64.41%). Almost fathers worked as trader (25.42%) while mothers worked as housewife (73.73%). Almost households had high food expenditure level (50.85%). Household dietary diversity was high based on HDDS (95.76%) and modified HDDS (81.35%) but very low based on DDP (50.85%). Spearman correlation test showed that there were positive correlation between household food expenditure with education level of fathers (p=0.022 r=0.210), mothers (p=0.010 r=0.236), and total household members (p=0.003 r=0.275). Household food expenditure had positive correlation with household dietary diversity based on DDP (p=0.006 r=0.250) and HDDS (p=0.008 r=0.242). But household food expenditure didn’t correlate with household dietary diversity based on modified HDDS. Variation of dietary diversity based on DDP just could be determined by food expenditure about 3.9% (p=0.018 r2=0.039) but variation of dietary diversity based on HDDS could not be determined by food expenditure (p=0.061 r2=0.022). So, there was no recommendation method for assessing household dietary diversity.
