Abstract: Tourism activities give an advantage in economic growth in some Indonesia areas, such as increasing income and opening job vacancy for local society. One areas that has potency in developing tourism sector is Tidung Island, DKI Jakarta. The tourism development was started in 2009, where the total tourism visiting Tidung Island is increasing every year. It has given a positive impact to the local economic. Economic impact from tourism activities were direct, indirect, and induce impact. Multiplier effect analysis method was used to analize economic impact in Tidung Island. Keynesian income multiplier value was 1.7 and ratio income multiplier type I and type II were 1.5 and 1.6. Moreover, the increasing of tourist number was potentially caused by over carrying capacity in some certain point areas in snorkeling and beach tourism, especially on peak season. So that, appropiate strategy is needed for managing and developing tourism area. Some alternative strategies that can be implemented for Tidung Island tourism management are: maintaining and increasing tourism management system; maintaining cooperation between management party, society, and tourist to protect resource and environment of tourism area; promoting new tourism; developing other potencial areas and new tourism activities to avoid over carrying capacity in some certain areas; increasing education and information to the society and tourist in maintaining the environment preservation, hygiene, and beauty of tourism area; and managing professionalism of local labor in tourism through training.
