dc.description.abstractUniversity ranking system can be considered as a method to improve the performance at each university. Two popular university ranking systems can be viewed on the site Webometrics and QS World University Rankings. There are three things that affect the rank of universities,i.e,the information architecture, the quality of the content of information, and the activities of the universities. This research emphasizes on the information of architecture by comparing the architecture of information on universities in the world and universities in Indonesia. Menus on the website of 10 universities in the world and 10 universities in Indonesia are compared based on the search level and position the menu located on each website. From the entire menu, only 30 menus are analyzed based on the highest weight values. The analysis showed that the universities in Indonesia are more likely to provide profile information, while universities in the world put forward the research and development based on user information.en
