dc.description.abstractThis research was aimed to study the preference of food service, food consumption pattern in relalation to nutritional status among Al-Ishlah senior high school students. The study design was cross sectional study with 76 students of Al-Ishlah Senior High School who lived in Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School Lamongan. Place and samples were selected purposively. Data were analyzed descriptively. The relationship between student’s characteristics, preference and food comsumption pattern were analyzed with Spearman correlation test and relationship between nutritional adequacy level and nutritional status were analyzed with Chi-square correlation test. The average of student's preference of food service were in rather like category. Most consumption adequacy levels of the semples were in the deficit category except for vitamin B1 and Fe consumption adequacy level. Most samples has a normal nutritional status. Correlation test result showed no significant correlation (p≥0.05) between individual characteristics with the preferences of food service. There was significant correlation (p <0.05) between the work of parents with some parameters of food service preferences. But there was no significant correlation (p≥0.05) between the host education and family income with the preferences of food service. There was significant relationship (p <0.05) between the ages of samples with the pattern of food consumption and nutrition, but not on samples’s pocket money. There was no significant correlation (p≥0.05) between the preferences of food service with nutritional adequacy level. There is no significant correlatin (p≥0.05) between nutritional adequacy level and nutritional status except for vitamin B1 and Fe.en
