Abstract

Rice bran is a by-product of rice mills which availability is abundant but its use is not fully optimized. To optimize the use of rice bran, then by using the technology, it can be processed into rice bran oil which is rich in vitamins and oryzanol. This research aims to optimize the potential of rice bran as well as designing a business plan based cooperative entrepreneur. Financial analysis shows that rice bran oil manufacturing business plan is feasible to be realized for investment because it has NPV of Rp5 771 920 329, Net B / C of 2, an IRR of 56 percent, Gross B / C of 1.04 and a payback period of 3 years 11 months.
