| dc.description.abstract | Several studies have been conducted before to run the combustion engine with biogas as engine fuel by modifying the carburetor into biogas converter. There were some problems with the former research, specifically in inappropriate biogas converter design and the strength is still low. The objectives of this research are to improve the design of biogas converter and do the endurance test. This research is started from design, prototyping, and endurance test for 50 hours. The steps of endurance test are to observe the stability of engine speed, determine fuel consumption, and analyze the lubricant for predict it’s lifespan. The endurance test result on engine speed was stable, which is represented by standard deviation of engine speed at 0,86 rpm. Based on the lubricant analysis, the lifespan of lubricant could be predicted at 71 hours by using biogas as engine fuel in the combustion engine. | en |
