Evaluasi Keberhasilan Pengelolaan Usaha Hutan Rakyat Jati Di Desa Citanglar Kecamatan Surade Kabupaten Sukabumi

Abstract

Demand for wood as a raw material for industry is continuing to increase rapidly. There are many ways to meet the need of wood, one of wich is trough the utilization of community forest. Community forest surade has an area of 34,1 Ha which consists three blocks. The focuses of this research include biophysic teak stand (i.e. diameter, height increament, and percent of tree survival), socioeconomic of forest farmer and environmental condition. This research has a purpose to evaluate the progress of teak community forest management in Desa Citanglar, Kecamatan Surade, Kabupaten Sukabumi, both of teak stand condition (biophysical aspect) and forest farmer socio-economic aspects and environmental aspect. Community forest were developed by multy party cooperation among land owners, forest farmers, investor, village government, and collaborative manager. Plants are grouped based on the age, i.e. plant with less than one year old (loated in third block) with a diameter increament of 8.06 cm/year to 12.28 cm/year and height increament of 4.08 m/year up to 9.03 m/year with percent growth of 100%. At the age of 18 months, plants had a diameter increament of 5.43 m/year with percent growth 100%. The socio-economic success can be seen by the final results that is obtained by the farmers income per month wich is Rp 726 500.
