Aktivitas harian dan wilayah jelajah Lutung Jawa (Trachypithecus auratus Raffles 1821) di Resort Bama Taman Nasional Baluran

Abstract

Baluran National Park particuralry Bama Resort is one of Javan Ebony leaf monkey (T.auratus Raffles 1821) habitat. This research purposes were to study daily behavior and homerange of Ebony leaf monkey group. The observation was conducted using Focal animal sampling method, the observation target is the activity of each Ebony leaf monkey group recorded continuously. Homerange was recorded by tracking and following the Ebony leaf monkey group while mapped using GPS (Global Positioning System). The average active time between two groups was around 12 hours 12 minutes, activity percentage from highest to lowest were 40% of feeding activity, 26% of moving activity, 22% of resting activity, and 12% of social activity. Average homerange from group I was 7,46 ha and group II is 13,15 ha. Main foods for Ebony leaf monkey were contains of Asam Jawa, Kesambi, Mimbo, Pilang, Kepuh, Walikukun, Akasia, and Jerukan
