dc.description.abstractWaterleaf (Talinum triangulare (Jacq.) Willd) is known as functional vegetable by consuming its shoot. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of organic fertilizing at second season of planting to growth and shoot production of waterleaf. The research was conducted at Leuwikopo IPB from November 2012 to May 2013. The organic fertilizer were cow manure (CM), rock phosphate (RP), and rice-hull ash (HA). The fertilizer was combined into four combinations, CM + RP, CM + HA, RP + HA, and CM + RP + HA with one control treatment (without fertilizer). Those combinations were also used at second season. Two experiments were set in the second season, i.e. with organic fertilizing and without organic fertilizing (resdiue of organic fertilizer from first season). The treatments were arranged with randomized completely block design with three replications. The result showed that organic fertilizing gave the same effect to growth and shoot production of waterleaf both in first season of planting and the second season (with organic fertilizing and without organic fertilizing). It showed that nutrient from organic fertilizer were not optimally used for plant growth. It is caused by nutrient from organic fertilizer were released slowly.en
