Peran Gender dalam Pengelolaan Hutan Rakyat dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga Petani di Desa Sukamahi Kabupaten Cianjur

Abstract

Cianjur Regency is one of the regencies in West Java Province that has community forest area about 28 287 hectares located at 32 districts. This research aims to identify the role of the household of community forest farmer on domestic and productive activities, decision making in the family, and household income and welfare of household farmer. The research is enducted at Sukamahi Village Cianjur Regency, survey method with 100 respondent consist of 50 male and 50 female respondent. The research result showed that men had a higher role significantly in productive activity, decision making on domestic activities, decision making on productive activities, and contribute to the total family income. Meanwhile, caracteristics of respodent that were correlated with the level of household welfare is the level of education, land area, and the number of family members.
