Abstract: Rinbow kurumoi fish is an Indonesian ornamental fish with high economic value, but its numbers in the nature decreases due to habitat destruction. It is necessary to increase production through aquaculture with environmental aprroach. Mussel shells are known can improve water quality. Mussel shells are varying types, so it needs further analysis of mussel shells used. The aim of this study was to analyze the type of mussel shells that the best among simping shells, cockle shells and green mussel shells to increase rainbow kurumoi fish production. Rainbow kurumoi fish used in this research had length 2.04±0.25cm/fish and weight 0.13± 0.14g/fish. Survival rate percentage was not significantly different among treatments. Each of length, weight, and specific growth rates was significantly different as compared to the control, but it was not prefail for different treatments. The result of this research showed that the shell could fix water quality so that the growth of rainbow kurumoi fish could be improved, but it was not really different as compared to all kinds of shell such as simping shell, blood shell and green mussel shell.
