dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between protein, calcium and zinc sufficiency level with linear growth in pre-school children (PSC). This study was conducted by applying a cross sectional study design implemented among 86 pre-school children from two favourite kindergartens in the city and regency of Bogor, the Mexindo and Aliya kindergarten. Intake of protein, calcium and zinc derived from the food consumption data collected by applying a 30 days semi-quantitative FFQ method filled by the child's mother. Data of height, weight, birth and medical history of child were also collected. The statistical analysis showed significant correlation between energy, calcium and zinc sufficiency level, father's height, maternal height, father’s education, mother’s education and family income with linear growth of pre-school children (p<0.01 and p<0.05). | en |
