Abstract: Ink is colored materials that contain color pigments used to coloring a surface. The components of ink have many functions like carrier of inks, dyes, and the other additive ingredients that used to regulate the flow, the thickness, and the appearance of ink when the ink dried. This study aims to make the printer of ink that is made from natural materials such as mangosteen peel and saffron. The printer of inks are made to make it so eco-friendly. The materials of ink are generated from the extraction process to produce the extract of natural materials. The next process is the concentration of materials with a rotary evaporator. After that, the sample extract that has been concentrated mixed with acetone, glycerin, and water that had been treated with ion. This mixture was stirred until homogeneous, and ink suspension formed. The Extract of mangosteen peel produces a red color, and the extract of saffron produces a yellow color. The feasibility of ink that is made from natural materials was tested through viscosity by Ostwald viscometer and Brookfield viscometer, thin layer chromatography test, test levels of non-volatile compounds (NV), test levels of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC), and test the quality of the content dye ink.
