dc.description.abstractThis research was aimed to analyze the effect of sea cucumber powdery wastes in increasing calcium levels in the quail eggs and to know the optimal level of supplementation with 160 experiments using materials laying quails aged 5 weeks was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Feed Processing Technology, Laboratory BBIA, and Field Laboratory (block C), Faculty of Animal Husbandry., Bogor Agriculture University. Parameters observed during the study were daily feed intake, daily egg production, egg quality include egg weight, yolk color and Haugh units, and eggshell thickness quail eggs produced. The experiments carried out for 4 months with 4 replicates at each level were tested, namely 0%, 1%, 2% and 3% sea cucumbers using a completely randomized experimental design that classifies 160 laying quails into 16 groups. The result showed that there were no significants difference on egg quality all treatments. Suplementation of sea cucumber innards have affect on phosphorus and calcium of eggshell. Suplementation of sea cucumber innards decrease eggshell calcium, but increased eggshell phosphorus. Suplementation of 1% sea cucumber innards showed the highest phosphorus levels. However, at the level of 3% sea cucumber innards that phosphorus eggshell increased again.en
