T Lemna minor is the dominant plant species that live in waters with high nutrient quality and potential as a source of forage for livestock This research aimed to measure the potential and characteristics of Lemna minor at various media to get optimal production techniques. The r.esearch was conducted in a plastic tub with a size of 36.5 x 27 x 10 cm3 for two weeks. This reesearch used a completely randomized design with five treatment and five replication. The type of media used is the control, hoagland, hyponex, compost and NPK. The measured Parameters in this study were nitrogen uptake, pH of medium, cover the area, and biomass production. The results of this study showed that Lemna minor effective in utilizing nitrogen with uptake value> 98%, compost media provide the status of media pH neutral and the accretion broad of cover area is fastest and Lemna minor biomass production rate of the best in the compost media and Hoaglanden
