Abstract: Zoo is the place where some animal species collected together in artificial environment. Parasites exploration in zoo needs to be done to monitoring of parasites spreading in animals zoo collection. This study aimed to explore the gastrointestinal endoparasitic worms of wild captive animals in Semarang Zoo. The flotation and precipitation methods were used to detecting presence or absence the gastrointestinal endoparasite of worm eggs in fecal samples. In Semarang Zoo there were 17 species (54.84%) out of 31 wild captive animals were found to be infected by parasites. Seventen genera of endoparasitic worms were determined after identification. The most common endoparasitic worms found in Semarang Zoo were Nematodes, followed by Cestodes and Trematodes. Endoparasitic worms found in mammals were Nematodes (Ascaris sp., Toxocara sp., Ancylostoma sp., Bunostomum sp., Oesophagostomum sp., Haemonchus sp., Cooperia sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Trichuris sp., and Capillaria sp.), and Cestodes (Spirometra sp., Taenia sp., Hymenolepys sp., Diphyllobothrium sp.). Meanwhile, in aves Nematodes (Amidostomum sp., Capillaria sp.) and Trematodes (Alaria sp.) were determined. Whereas only Nematodes (Rhabdias sp.) were determined in reptiles. Capillaria was the only parasite found in mammals and aves.
