Abstract: One of ectoparasites on Hemidactylus lizard are Geckobia mites of family Pterygosomatidae. This research aimed to determine the diversity, prevalence, infestation intensity, chaetotaxy, and total intensity of ectoparasites mites on Hemidactylus lizard in Depok. Mites were taken from head, eyes, a part of body, thigh, tail, front finger, and back finger, then preserved in 70% alcohol. Mites were prepared on whole mount method using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). This research found 107 of lizard and nine species of ectoparasites mites namely Geckobia sp1, G2 (Geckobia glebosum), Geckobia sp4, Geckobia sp5, Geckobia sp7, Geckobia sp10, Geckobia sp11, Geckobia sp13, and Geckobia sp14. Prevalence mite on lizard H. garnotii was 85.18%, and H. frenatus was 84.61%. The highest of mite infection intensity on lizard H. garnotii was mite G1, and H. frenatus was mite G. glebosum. The highest infection intensity of mite was on H. garnotii. Leg chaetotaxy observations indicated that mites G2 is G. glebosum, G5 and G11 including Geckobia indica group, G10 and G14 including G. gleadoviana group, G13 including G. keegani group, and G4 including Geckobia group 1.
