This paper provides an integer linear programming model for the assignment of volunteers and distribution logistics in the disaster areas. The first model aims to minimize the total cost of a shortage of volunteers and minimize the number of unwanted assignments. The second model aims to minimize the amount of unmet demand for all kinds of commodities in all points of demand. These models further are implemented using the optimization programming language LINGO version 11.0 and the interface programming language Excel VBA 2007. The duration of the execution time of implementation show that the system can be deemed worthy to be used. |
