This study aimed to analyze the differences in economic pressures, and objective wellbeing of families, according to the typology of the region, and analyze the influence of economic pressures and the typology of the area (rural and urban) of the objective wellbeing of the family. This explanatory study involving 240 families were selected by stratified disproportional random sampling. Family economic pressures indicated by the seven out of ten families in debt, of which two of the seven who owes a debt equals or exceeds the assets owned. The average family has only reached about three-quarters (72%) objective welfare indicator. There is no economic pressure difference and the difference in family’s objective well-being in rural and urban areas. The analysis shows that economic pressure both total (p = 0.000; adj R2 = 0205) and almost all of its components (job stability, the ratio of expenditure / capita to income / capita, the ratio of debt to assets, and loss of income components) negatively affect the objective well-being of the family (p = 0.000; adj R2 = 0289).
