Abstract: Perkembangan industri keuangan tercermin dari banyaknya produk-produk jasa keuangan, berkembangnya industri penyedia jasa keuangan, dan kemudahan dalam mengakses jasa keuangan itu sendiri. Kemudahan dalam mengakses jasa keuangan dikenal dengan istilah financial inclusion. Financial inclusion berperan sebagai indikator apakah lembaga keuangan menjalankan fungsinya dengan baik, yaitu sebagai lembaga intermediasi dalam menopang pertumbuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perkembangan industri keuangan serta pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dan konvergensi pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara ASEAN+5 (Australia, China, India, Jepang, dan Korea Selatan). Metode yang digunakan adalah panel data dinamis dengan teknik estimasi Generalized Method of Moment (GMM). Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan perkembangan industri keuangan yang cukup baik terutama di negara berpendapatan tinggi. Financial inclusion berpengaruh positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Koefisien dari lag variabel endogen pada model mengindikasikan bahwa telah terjadi konvergensi pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara ASEAN+5.
The development of the financial industry is reflected from number of financial services products, development of the financial industry service providers, and ease of access to financial services itself. The ease of accessing financial services is known as financial inclusion. Financial inclusion serves as an indicator whether the financial institutions function properly, that is as an intermediary institutions in supporting growth. This study aims to analyze the development of the financial industry and its influence on economic growth and convergence of economic growth in ASEAN +5 (Australia, China, India, Japan, and South Korea). The method used in this study was the dynamic panel data and the estimation technique was Generalized Method of Moment (GMM). The results showed the development of the financial industry which was quite good, especially in high-income countries. Financial inclusion had positive influence on economic growth. The coefficient of lag endogenous variables in the model indicates that there had been a convergence of economic growth in ASEAN +5.
