Abstract: This study was conducted to evaluate the leucocyte dynamics in rabbits which were implanted by biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) bone graft in the tibia bones. The bone graft was made by combination of 70% hydroxyapatite (HA) : 30% β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP), herein after reffered as BCP 1, and 60% HA : 40% β-TCP (BCP 2). Twelve rabbits were used in this experiment and divided into two groups. The first group was implanted with BCP 1 and the second group was implanted with BCP 2. Blood samples were collected from auricularis veins and sampled at pre-surgery (H0) and 7, 30 and 60 days post-surgery. According to the Complete Blood Count (CBC) test, the differential leucocyte dynamics in both treatment groups were in the normal range. Differential leucocyte profile showed that the implant was not rejected by the body and did not cause any excessive inflammatory reaction.
