dc.description.abstractThe objective of this experiment was to study the effectiveness of turmeric, garlic and zinc supplementation on protein, albumin and globulin concentration of broiler. One hundred DOC were divided into five treatments, four replications, consist of five chicks in each replicate. The treatments were R0 (basal diet as a control), R1 (R0 + 1,5% turmeric powder +2,5 % garlic powder), R2 (R0 + 2,5% garlic powder + 120 ppm zinc), R3 (R0 +1,5% turmeric powder + 120ppm zinc) and R4 (R0 +1,5 turmeric powder + 2,5% garlic powder + 120 ppm zinc). The diet contain 23,5% crude protein and 3215 kcal metabolizable energy. Blood samples were taken from axillary veins at the three and six weeks of age. The results showed that total protein and globulin concentration at 6 weeks slightly higher than 3 weeks old chicks but not significantly different (P>0.05). Albumin concentration were highest on R3 treatment. Total protein and globulin concentration was highest on the R2 treatment. In conclusion, the supplementation of garlic (2.5%) and ZnO (120 ppm) showed the best combination to improve immune response in broiler.en
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian kunyit, bawang putih, dan mineral Zinc Oxide (ZnO) terhadap kadar protein total, albumin dan globulin pada ayam broiler. Seratus ekor ayam berumur satu hari (DOC) dibagi ke dalam lima kelompok perlakuan, dengan empat kali ulangan dan masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari lima ekor. Pengelompokan terdiri dari R0 (Pakan basal /kontrol); R1 (Pakan basal + bawang putih 2,5% + kunyit 1,5 %), R2 ( Pakan basal + bawang putih 2,5% + Zn0 120 ppm), R3 (Pakan basal + kunyit 1,5% + Zn0 120 ppm), R4 (Pakan basal + bawang putih 2,5% + kunyit 1,5 %+ Zn0 120 ppm). Pakan diformulasi mengandung 23.5 % protein kasar (PK) dan metabolisme energi (ME) 3215.04 kcal/kg. Sampel darah diambil melalui vena axillaris pada saat ayam berumur 3 dan 6 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar protein total pada umur 6 minggu cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan umur 3 minggu, walaupun tidak berbeda nyata (P>0.05). Kadar albumin tertinggi dijumpai pada kelompok kombinasi kunyit dan Zn (R3), sedangkan kadar protein total dan globulin tertinggi dijumpai pada kelompok kombinasi bawang putih dan Zn (R2). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi bawang putih 2,5% dengan Zn0 120 ppm merupakan kombinasi terbaik dan diduga mampu meningkatkan respons imunitas pada ayam broiler.en
