Abstract: Ikan kerapu bebek (Cromileptes altivelis) rentan terhadap stres, menyebabkan pertumbuhan rendah, kematian dan penurunan produksi. Zat besi (Fe) merupakan salah satu mikro nutrien yang mampu meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh. Penggunaan tepung darah yang mengandung Fe dan protein tinggi dapat diterima sebagai pakan ikan, namun bioavailabilitynya masih rendah. Upaya peningkatan absorbsi Fe-tepung darah sudah dilakukan melalui penambahan vitamin C, mineral Zn dan antioksidan sebagai nutrien penyeimbang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan jumlah maksimal tepung darah yang sudah diperkaya mikro nutrien penyeimbang, sebagai sumber Fe dalam pakan ikan yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan vitalitas kerapu bebek saat diinfeksi bakteri. Ikan yang digunakan berbobot awal rata-rata 11,6 ± 0,2 g, dipelihara pada akuarium berukuran 50x40x35 cm dengan kepadatan 10 ekor/akuarium. Pemeliharaan ikan dilakukan 40 hari dengan pemberian pakan tiga kali sehari secara at-satiation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tepung darah dapat digunakan sebanyak 120 g/kg pakan sebagai sumber Fe-organik, dengan memberikan retensi protein tertinggi 42,1±12,9%, peningkatan kandungan Fe di serum, hati, usus dan tubuh ikan, performa pertumbuhan ikan sama dengan penggunaan Fe-sulfat dan nilai indeks fagositik sel darah ikan sesudah diinfeksi bakteri vibrio alginolyticus lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya.
Humpback grouper (Chromileptes altivelis) is sensitive to stress that cause low growth rate, mortality, and harvest. Iron is micro-nutrient that can enhance the immunity. The use of blood-meal which contain of high Fe and protein in the fish feed can be accepted as food supplement; however the bioavailability of Fe is still low. To increase the absorption of Fe in blood-meal, the fish feed was supplemented vitamin C, Zn and atractant as a micro nutrient balancing. This experiment was conducted to determine the maximal volume of the enriched blood meal as Fe source for fish growth and vitality increase at infected by bacteria. The fish weight 11,60 ± 0,2 g/ind and was cultured in 50x40x35 cm aquarium and stocked at a density of 10 ind. /aquarium. Reared for 40 days, the fish was fed by diet three times daily at a satiation. The results showed that the fish fed by 120 g/kg diet of blood meal as Fe source gave the best for protein retention 42,1 ± 2,9%, increased concentration of Fe in liver, intestine and body tissue. The growth performance of fish was not significant different with the fish fed by Fe-sulfat supplementation. The index of phagocytic after infecting of vibrio algynolyticus was higher compare to the other experiment diet.
