Abstract: OpenFlow merupakan teknologi baru pada jaringan komputer, khususnya teknologi switching. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan dan melakukan analisis kinerja terhadap switch OpenFlow dan switch konvensional pada jaringan komputer. Metode pengukuran kinerja kedua switch menggunakan nilai maksimum bandwidth. Bandwidth diukur terhadap paket UDP dengan default port 5001 pada pengujian berurut dari 10-100 Mbps.Pengambilan data dilakukan selama 10 kali pengukuran tiap satu skenario pengujian. Tiap skenario pengujian dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 5 kali agar data yang dihasilkan lebih valid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan switch OpenFlow memiliki nilai rataan bandwidth switch OpenFlow sebesar 37.14 Mbps dan pada switch konvensional sebesar 31.97 Mbps. Nilai rataan jitter pada switch OpenFlow sebesar 0.253 ms dan pada switch konvensional sebesar 0.309 ms. Nilai rataan datagram loss pada switch OpenFlow sebesar 0.10% dan nilai datagram loss pada switch konvensional sebesar 0.40%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, switch OpenFlow memiliki kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan switch konvensional
OpenFlow is a new technology on computer networks, especially switching technology. The purpose of this study is to implement and analyze the performance of OpenFlow switch and conventional switch on the computer network. The maximum bandwidth value was used as the method for measuring the performance of the two switches. Bandwidth was measured on the default port UDP packets 5001 with values between 10-100 Mbps. Data collection was performed 10 times for each of the test scenarios. Each test scenario was repeated 5 times so that the data generated is valid. The results showed that the bandwidth average value of OpenFlow switch was 37.14 Mbps and conventional switch was 31.97 Mbps. The average value of jitter was 0.253 ms for OpenFlow switch and 0.309 ms for conventional switch. Datagram loss in OpenFlow switch value was 0.10% and in conventional switch was 0.40%.It can be concluded that OpenFlow switch have better performance than the conventional switch.
