Abstract: Rumah Tempe Indonesia (RTI) is the pioneer and still the only manufacturer of hygienic tempe in Indonesia. Opportunity indication showed that RTI could do the strategy to develop its business. This research aims at identifying the internal and external environment that influenced the business, formulating and prioritizing the alternative strategy based on the result of RTI internal and external environment analysis. Data collection was conducted on six respondents in April 2014 until May 2014 at RTI in Bogor, West Java. Data analysis methods used were descriptive method and strategy formulation method. The results of the analysis indicated that the position of RTI in IE matrix was in quadrant two, grow and build. The most appropriate strategies to use were intensive and integrative strategy. There were 5 alternative strategies that could be implemented by RTI based on SWOT matrix analysis.the result of QSPM analysis showed the most prioritized strategy to implement in developing RTI business was by intensively developing the new market.
